Routine skills like computer use, numeracy and communication, are essential to the basic needs of every occupation. Essential Skills through Safety and Health (ESSH), a national program of CME in partnership with HRSDC, has developed breakthrough ways to teach these skills in an innovative approach to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training. This project initially focused on workers with literacy difficulties and/or ESL/FSL issues, but research indicates that these techniques are applicable to any training.
Join us at the ESSH regional conferences this fall to hear how this research can help your business reduce lost time injury and develop proactive relationships with your employees.
