A Welcome from the National Program Director, ESSHHello and welcome to our brand new website! Our team has accomplished some wonderful things this past year - things which I believe are a genuine contribution to knowledge. We have been fortunate that our initiative has been supported by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) and Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME). As you go through the site, you will meet the team and see what they have been doing and read what they have learned. You will also find a description of the project and the various strands of inquiry we pursued. Most importantly, you will learn about our regional events for the fall of 2011 where you can meet us in person and test drive some of the excellent materials we have created to help anyone who provides Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training in the workplace, especially if they are working with new immigrants or workers with difficulties reading and writing in English or French.
